Britain’s new Prime Minister Theresa May has expressed how Christian faith plays a major role in her life.
Mrs May succeeded David Cameron following his resignation, and the daughter of a vicar has always held faith in Jesus Christ.
She said: “I grew up the daughter of a local vicar and the granddaughter of a regimental sergeant major.

“Public service has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember.
“My Christian faith is part of me. It is part of who I am and therefore how I approach things.”
When appearing on the popular BBC radio show, ‘Desert Island Discs’ and being asked for May’s eight songs she would take as a castaway, two of her choices were Christian hymns: ‘When I Survey The Wondrous Cross’ and ‘Therefore We, Before Him Bending.’

Britain’s three previous Prime Ministers from both Conservative and Labour have all spoken publicly about their faith.
David Cameron said in 2014 he was “evangelical” about his own Christian faith and insisted Britain was built Christian values.
Gordon Brown was the son of a Church of Scotland minister and spoke in office about the moral and ethical principles shared by Christianity and other faiths.
Tony Blair’s Christian faith is said to have influenced his decision to go to war in Iraq, according to former political allies.
