Shot bus driver is saved by his Bible in pocket! Police: There was a kind of intervention
A bus driver shot at point-blank range by gangsters was saved – by his BIBLE.
Rickey Wagoner was ambushed by three men while he stood beside his coach in Dayton, Ohio, USA.
The 49-year-old was shot three times – once in his right leg and twice in the chest – but the last two bullets were halted by a New Testament Bible he kept in his chest pocket.
“I’ve been hit in the leg,” Mr Wagoner (pictured) told a police phone operator.
“My chest feels like I’ve been hit with a sledgehammer.” Sergeant Michael Pauley, of the Dayton Police Department, said: “The two bullets were stopped by the New Testament book in his chest pocket. There was obviously some kind of intervention involved in this incident, because he probably should not be here.
“Amazingly, his injuries are not life threatening.”
