BBC’s Gemma Hunt joins Grylls, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, and Archbishop of Vienna to promote course

Children’s TV presenter Gemma Hunt is fronting new videos for a course that has encouraged 29 million people to discover God.

The Alpha Course has been freshened up to offer a new way to those who want to explore faith.

A series of talks in a documentary style are now being offered to churches as way of an alternative to the traditional Alpha talks.

The Alpha film series was funded by donations from all over the globe and presented by Church of England clergyman Toby Flint and CBBC TV presenter Gemma Hunt.

The 16 films included questions about who is Jesus, how can people have faith and what prayer means.

Stories and interviews from all around the world are showcased, including stories from Canada, Hong Kong and Chile.

Contributors include big names like Bear Grylls, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna and Henriquez Gonzalez, one of the 33 miners trapped for 69 days at the San Jose mine in Chile.

Alpha says more than 29 million people have looked to their courses in almost 170 countries.
