Eternal life begins by inviting Jesus to come into your life,,,
The only way any of us can receive eternal life is to receive Jesus Christ into our lives, write Pastor Phil Weaver.
And how do we do that? Well, it all begins by inviting Jesus to come and live in your life in prayer.
You could pray something like this:
“Lord Jesus Christ, here I am, I can come no other way, so please take me as I am.
“Thank you for loving me even though I have had little time for you. You know the way I have lived my life and the things I have done that haven’t been great or pleasing in your eyes. Please forgive me for my selfishness and sin, for always thinking that I know best.
“Thank you for forgiving me and coming into my life. Help me now as I start over again with you at the centre of my life.
“No longer am I going to go my own way. Today I am deciding to follow you by asking you to be my Saviour and Lord.
“Lord Jesus Christ please send me your Holy Spirit to help me to know, without doubt, that you have come into my life.
“Amen.”
