Hollywood star Letitia Wright has revealed the importance of the Bible in her life.
Best known for her role in the Hollywood blockbuster, Avengers: Endgame, where she played the role of Black Panther, Letitia has also starred in popular TV series Black Mirror and Doctor Who.
Letitia, 27, explained her life was a wrestle before finding faith in God.
“I had all these ambitions and things I really wanted to be. I just knew something was wrong. If I had money in my pocket, I was thinking, how much money can I have? What else can I get from this?
“Literally nothing satisfied. I always knew this can’t be life.”
HE SET ME FREE
“A friend called me and told me: ‘You’re not in a good place. I can tell you about Jesus. He set me free, so I’m just sharing it with you.’
“He gave me Matthew 6:33, which says: ‘Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all things shall be added to you.’
“I got very hungry, and started feeding myself on the Bible.
“The Gospels are my favourite, all those red letters, words spoken by Jesus, are just so impactful and bring life to me.
“Reading the Bible brings your mind back into alignment with what God wants you to be.
“In committing myself to being a Christian, something happened. After that decision, something was different in my spirit; I felt free.”
