She’s the beauty with a bombshell Bible message.
New Miss Germany Kira Geiss, pictured above, is a theology student and committed Christian who, straight after winning the title, stated her aim “to be a voice for the church” and “serve God and my neighbours”.
Kira, 20, who is from Magdeburg and studying theology at a mission school near Stuttgart, will take a year off to fulfil her commitments after her Miss Germany triumph, which earnt her €25,000.
She told German national newspaper Bild she wants to work as pastor, adding: “Faith is the source of my strength.”
Speaking to a German Christian magazine, she added: “We need more young congregations that are open to change. Congregations that stick to their principles but still move with society. I would like to be a voice for the church. I love it more than anything and it is my home.”
Kira is not from a Christian background but decided to follow Jesus at age 16 after being invited to a church youth group.
She said: “Today I see it as a treasure to know what it is like not to be a Christian, to be able to interact with those who do not have a faith.”
