A man with stage four melanoma who was told doctors could do nothing for him has been diagnosed cancer-free after prayers for healing.
The tumour on the side of David Baker’s face was so large that he struggled to see out his right eye or to eat.
Chemotherapy wasn’t an option for his type of cancer, doctors warned, and surgery wasn’t possible.
But, at a special Easter morning prayer service, Sid Renfro visited and was moved to pray for former pastor David (pictured above, before and after the prayers) after remembering her husband’s healing from cancer.
Sid told CBN: “I normally just touch their shoulders, but I did touch his face because I wanted to be very specific and very direct.
“I prayed the prayer that my dad had prayed: ‘By this time tomorrow, this side of your face will look like this side of your face,’ because that prayer had worked for my dad.”
The next day, David noticed something. “I looked at my wife and I said, ‘I see a change in my face.’ She said, ‘I do too. But I was afraid to say anything.’ So, we decided to eat with our family. We said, ‘Let’s see what they have to say.’ And they all said, ‘That thing’s shrinking.’ And it was just a matter of days. It was gone.”
David’s tumour vanished and doctors have confirmed he is cancer-free.
He said: “I’ve never doubted what God was capable of doing. I’ve always believed he’s the healer, that he can heal cancer, heart attacks. He can take care of it if we’ll just believe him.”
