CEO of Caffè Nero UK Will Stratton-Morris has revealed his Christian faith is central to his role as chief of one of the high street’s most familiar names.
Stratton-Morris has been a believer for more than 20 years and continues to be open about it while leading the coffee house chain.
“I don’t hide it,” he told Sorted magazine. “Most people know I have a faith and it is strong.
“I don’t shy away from sharing things and talking openly. It’s because of my faith that I am who I am, so I am certainly not going to pretend it’s not an integral part of my life.
“I talk to colleagues privately about Christ as I would any other subject, and many seem to be receptive.”
The Caffè Nero boss is now looking forward to taking a “mentoring” role, which will give him more time to support the church.
“I have somehow got myself an invitation to present a series of short films about faith,” he said.
“I am really excited about the opportunity, which explores different areas like how open we should be about faith at work, praying at work, managing difficult relationships and building a team.
“I am hoping to give a personal Christian perspective on how I have learned to process these different issues.”
